SVP was launched in April 2009 to ease the anxieties of civic engagement, while giving an opportunity to people that requires more than simply writing a check. In only a few months, SVP recruited a network of over 150 interested individuals that have brainstormed fundraising and community project ideas, and believe the organization can have a sustainable future.
SVP’s mission is to empower individuals committed to aiding disadvantaged children through community projects and volunteerism. The vision of SVP members is to live in a world where every child has access to basic necessities such as food, clothes, and education. By focusing the organization and its members on one small victory at a time, SVP hopes to encourage civic leadership and raise awareness that many children live without basic luxuries.
The Vision of SVP members is to live in a world where every child has access to basic necessities such as food, clothes, education, and healthy lifestyles.
SVP members will strive to attain small victories leading toward this vision by:
• Supporting educational activities;
• Supporting health and wellness activities; and
• Helping to provide basic necessities.
